Boyce was first appointed Commissioner October 20, 2020. Boyce has lived in Dortches since 1983. He is the owner and operator of a small local business since 1991. Prior to this, Boyce had previously served as a Commissioner, and as Deputy for Nash County Sheriff's office. He is a member of Dortches Baptist Church. He and his wife, Sheila, have 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
